Dr Sonia Browne brings nearly three decades of medical practice to public life, combining professional expertise with a deep understanding of community needs. Born and raised in St Philip, she was elected Member of Parliament for St Philip North in 2018 and re elected in 2022.

She has served as Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Wellness with responsibility for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and chronic non communicable diseases, contributing to health system oversight and policy development. In Parliament, she has also served as Chair of Committees, reflecting her active engagement in legislative work.

Dr Browne is recognised for speaking with clarity and conviction on social justice issues, including the need for timely adjudication of sexual assault cases and stronger protections for vulnerable populations. Her constituency work remains closely connected to the everyday concerns of residents.
